Reviews

In 1980s, a breakthrough movie came out that influenced a whole generation of film makers. This is a movie where Luc Besson started to make its mark on filmography, with legendary producers like James Cameron saying they were influenced by it, creating Abyss and search for the Titanic. When it comes to Virtual Reality, this young industry just encountered The Big Blue moment with a similar name. Theo Valich

Road to VR

About

theBlu: is a deeply immersive VR series that allows audiences to experience the wonder and majesty of the ocean through different habitats and come face to face with some of the most awe inspiring species on the planet. The series, which is directed by Jake Rowell (Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Superman Returns), has been designed as beautiful moments in passing or a collection of memories that powerfully tap into the vast potential of VR. The debut episode, featuring an incredible close encounter with an 80 foot whale, is already recognized as one the most iconic room scale VR experiences to date (a Sundance Film Festival 2016 selection). Additional episodes in this bundle take place on a teeming coral reef and in the very deepest region of the ocean. Gain access to new modes of discovery in each episode. Slow time and capture pictures in Inspector Mode, and return to a meditative version of each location in Ambient Mode. TheBlu VR transports you into a gorgeous virtual reality experience that’s not only interesting and fun, but educational. How? By allowing you to live among sea creatures as they actually are, in their own habitat. With various sea creatures swimming around your head, wearing the VR headset feels like wearing a pair of scuba goggles with added calming voiceover that guides you through the dream-like majesty of marine life. The stunning 3D graphics bring excitement to the fully immersive underwater journey of the TheBlu VR, whether you’re hanging out with orcas in the Arctic, chilling with dolphins near the beach, or staring into the eyes of an enormous blue whale.

About

Mostly Harmless Games, developers of Funklift, have officially entered the VR gaming scene. After months of prototyping, experimenting and developing they have now released their first VR game Munch for roomscale VR on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The more Munch grows, the bigger the fish you can eat. The game features 20 increasingly challenging levels across five beautiful underwater environments. Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-ality

Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-ality

Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-ality

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality smashes together the absolute VR chaos of the award-winning Job Simulator with the ridiculous, all-out, take-no-prisoners comedy of Rick and Morty.

Reviews

It had me laughing out loud, and the rest of the experience is a veritable geek-gasm. Every drawer and cabinet hides some reference to the vast lore established in the show, yet this only occasionally feels like nostalgia purely for nostalgia’s sake. A slew of collectibles, including and alongside more easter eggs and hidden references than you can shake a plumbus at – or whatever it is you do with a plumbus – means that once Clone Morty has finished the main story there’s still plenty left to do for players who want to keep experimenting in dimension C-137.

Short as it may be, Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay kept a huge smile on my face the entire time I was playing it. It’s a great exercise in VR scene-building, conjuring up a believably bustling environment that could have been taken straight out of the set of any of the movies.

Emily Wants To Play

It’s 11pm and the last house on your route. The windows are boarded up, the yard is overgrown, but the lights are on and the front door is open… strange place to deliver a pizza. You’re getting soaked from the rain, so you hesitantly step inside the house. You shouldn’t have done that.

About

It’s 11pm, and you are at the last house on your route. The lights are on, and the front door is opened. But, the windows are all boarded up and the grass is overgrown. It seems like a strange place to deliver a pizza, but at least, it looks like someone is home.

You run to the front door since it’s storming pretty bad.

“Hello!? Your pizza’s here!” You announce. No one answers. There’s an eerie silence.

You are getting soaked from the rain, so you hesitantly step inside the door and look around. The front door suddenly closes behind you.

You just wanted to finish this last delivery and head home for the night. Now you must figure out how to get out of this stupid creepy house.

Freely roam the house and try to figure out what is going on. Three dolls and a strange girl named Emily will also start roaming the house as the hours toll by. Stay away from them, but if you do end up in a room with one, figure out how to stay alive.

This may be your last pizza delivery.
